BTS (hangeul: 방탄소년단, RR: Bangtan Sonyeondan; kanji: 防弾少年団, rōmaji: Bōdan Shōnendan; Chinese: 防弹少年团, pinyin: Fángdàn Shàonián Tuán) otherwise called Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean teen pop band, initially from Seoul. BTS holds several records in the Guinness Book of World Records with the most retweets on Twitter and the most views on YouTube in less than twenty-four hours with over 101.1 million views for their cilp Butter in 2021. They are also the owners of over sixty daesang and four Billboard Music Awards. In all, they own more than two hundred and twenty Awards and three hundred and thirty-nine nominations.


On October 15, 2020, Big Hit Entertainment (formerly HYBE label) the group's label, was listed on the stock market; the issued shares doubled instantly, making the septet considerably richer and their label valued at $4.1 billion, one of the thirty most important companies in South Korea
