Treasure (groupe)


Treasure (hangeul: 트레저), stylized TREASURE, the cool South Korean band, from Seoul. It was formed by the YG Entertainment agency and is composed of the winners of the YG TREASURE BOX show, namely: Choi Hyun-suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Mashiho, Yoon Jae-Hyuk, Asahi, Bang Ye-dam, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong-woo and So Junghwan. The group officially debuted on August 7, 2020, with the album single The First Step: Chapter One. The group's fans are nicknamed Treasure Makers or Times (short for Treasure Makers).

Biography

  • 2018: YG Treasure Box

On November 16, 2018, YG Entertainment sent off its new show "YG TREASURE BOX." It is an endurance show that sets 29 understudies in opposition to one another with an end goal to make a pristine teeny-bopper group inside the organization. The members were partitioned into 4 distinct groups, Treasure A, B, C, and J. As the missions advanced, the members had the amazing chance to join the group that was going to begin, named Treasure, and needed to do all that they could to keep their place as "fortune" or attempt to join the group.

  • 2019: Group Formation


  1. On January 18, 2019, the finale of the show circulated.   • 2020: Official debut and merger of the two groups

  1. On January 6, 2020, following Yoonbin's departure, YG Entertainment announced a major change in the group's future plans. The agency announced that the two groups would be merged under the name TREASURE and that the members of the group, now numbering 12, would actively participate in writing lyrics and composing their future music8.
  2. On January 30, a performance video for Going Crazy, which was unveiled at the YG TREASURE BOX show, was posted on the band's YouTube channel.
  3. On May 12, YG Entertainment announces, through a video, that the band's debut is planned for July.
  4. On May 21, the agency announced that the member Bang Ye-dam will make a solo single before the debut of the group. The single-named Wayo was released on June 5 with a music video.


At the end of July, the agency announced that the group will officially debut on August 7 with the album single The First Step: Chapter One. The group made its debut that day with the single Boy.
